The largest search engine on the Web, Google is entering the software
market with a cheap competitor to the Microsoft Office.
The new Google’s services provides spreadsheets, documents, calendar and email programs.
Google Docs and Spreadsheets packs features similar to the famous Excel and word programs
of microsot.

The package includes some of the elements of
Microsoft Office and word and will sell for a fraction of the price.
You get a link to open it as a google Docs and Spreadsheets rather than having to download it.

Google Docs shows a intuitive toolbar that includes modify text, and import images as we
can see from this detailed image.

With Google Docs and Spreadsheets package you can:

• Create new documents and spreadsheets in real time from your web browser.
• You can store your document and spreadsheet onto Google’s servers.
• The spreadsheets support DOC, XLS, ODT, ODS, RTF, CSV file format
• Simple interface whose functions resemble Excel and word.
• Access from anywhere with an internet connection

Conclusion

I have tried the Beta version and i think that it are nothing like Microsoft’s Office.
However, Google Docs and Spreadsheets will less expensive than Microsoft Office offering.
Now it comes down to the final question:
Should you buy the Google Doc or the Microsoft Office?

i would love to hear you thoughts on this especially if you have any other possible explanations.

opensource application available in GNU license called Openoffice which is totally free. StarOffice software is
an affordable alternative in office productivity
suites that runs on multiple operating systems.
