As you can see I’m doing my utmost to churn out one blog post a day right now. Today I want to say about another alternative to skype voip service called Ineen.

Ineen introduced a new VOIP Open Source service that enable you to communicate using Voice, Video and Instant Messaging. It enable to make free internet phone calls in the form of voip.

The Ineen system enables users to make free calls online and is a downloadable application that enables users to quickly and easy talk or send instant messages to their friends for free.

If you have never internet telephony, I would also recommended a headset, which improves the sound quality over trying to use a microphone and speakers.

 

 Its advanced feature set includes:

- Instant Messenger & Buddy List

 

1) Presence, 2)Create Groups, 3)Create Contacts
- Audio Conferencing [10 People]

Turn on Auto-Answer and Auto-Conference at the push of 2 buttons. Simply give your ineen number out to others and watch your ineen software become a conference room!

- Video Conferencing [4 People]

Videoconferencing has never been this easy! Simply call the ineen user, open the Video Drawer and click on the “start” button at the bottom.

If you are having a bad hair day you can elect not to start sending video and just view the incoming video.

- Do Not Disturb

I’m busy. When you just don’t want to take any calls there is always Do Not Disturb. Just click the DND button and all incoming calls will be sent a busy signal. Just don’t forget it’s on.

Other features includes:

Call Recording (Audio and Video), Speakerphone Mode, Call Transfer, Call Logs & Missed Call Indicator, Distributed Conferencing [Infinite], Automatic Answer, Open Standards Compliant, Automatic Conference.

• 128 MB RAM
• 15 MB free disk space on your hard drive
• Sound Card, speakers and microphone
• Internet Connection (either dial-up [audio and IM only]:
• minimum 56 Kbps modem, or any broadband [required for video]: cable, DSL, etc.)
