Paula Neal Mooney has put an interesting list of blogger and webmaster salaries. It includes up to 60 bloggers with high yearly income.
“For the bean counters…How did Paula calculate the list of blogger salaries? Whether reported daily, weekly or monthly, I took the income number reported and annualized it to create the below list. I assumed no growth rate for the annualized salaries, even though some dot com moguls like John Chow are reporting huge growth rates in blogging revenue from March to April 2007. Since others reported a dip from prior months, I figured assuming a growth rate of 0% would even things out overall. (I did take Intermediate Accounting I and II in college…) I also took the numbers at face value — some webmasters list their gross revenue, some net. Others include swag, pay for services, etc. — all the perks that they wouldn’t have gotten if not for blogging”.
According to john chow the list more probably is inaccurate, because Paula ignore financial data, also many publisher to say all details of their earnings while other bloggers speak up general.
This is not the first time I have seen these lists of blogger salaries but I always like to revisit them. If you want to be included on the Paula’s list, you must make more than $479.88 from you blog this year and sent. So Paula’s probably will include your blog into the list.
