WordPress Tiger Administration

If you’re looking for a free, I have something that is really going to interest you today. After that I’ve said about ‘All in one seo pack’ plugin, now I want to point something on another nice utility.

WordPress Tiger Administration is a plugin that add a new look to your WordPress control panel. Compare the old admin layout with the updated one I think the difference’s quite obvious: At first glance it many clear and easy to manage, while the colours are brilliant. The result is a nicely polished admin layout.

Download and Installation

Step 1 – Enter in the site: orderedlist.com and click on the icon like down and download the plugin.

Step 2 – Unzip the file. I use winzip, you can download a free trial version of the famous compression utility here

Step 3 - Copy and cut the wp-admin-tiger into the the: ftp://namesite/wp-content/plugins/ directory.

After the files are in place, browse to the Plugins page in your WordPress Administration area, and activate the plugin.

The administration design should immediately change. To revert back to the original design, just deactivate the plugin.

Browser Compatibility

Sorry, WordPress users, it’s Firefox and Safary only and does not support the Internet explorer.

Currently this design is compatible with Safari and Firefox. Until Internet Explorer complies with CSS2 specifications, this plugin will default back to the original WordPress administration design. The plugin does this automagically, without the need for browser sniffing. If the browser is incapable of displaying CSS2, it will not display the updated design.

Conclusion

WordPress Tiger Administration it has managed to make a huge impact on the WordPress users. Steve Smith has managed to create a wordpress plugin that allows you to manage together any functions on the your WordPress control panel, something totally easy to use and nice to see.

  The tool I want to show today is really cool. The guys behind Nmap.org, according to Alexa, have scanned the top 1 million sites on the web, and created a tool that allows to show the result based the favicon graph of each one. The size of each favicon in the graph indicate the traffic each website has.

  I wanted to try the service, so I used the search function, and here the result(look the image above). The only problem with my site is that the service doesn't show my latest favicon, but the favicon of my Frugal theme yet. Maybe has need to be upgraded to get the latest favicon logo.
  
  If you have an Alexa rank below 1,000,000, you are able to identifying the favicon of your website and the websites you know. Also, it allows you to zoom in and out. Through their search box you should be able to find your favicon in a few second.
