I thought it would be interesting to look the the new upgrade of the main widget tool that promotes the blog across the internet.
BlogRush has just announced it’s Phase 2 was launched, so I tried to surf around its new features. The new dashboard will hold any great surprises for those already familiar with the BlogRush. Although, there are certain similaties between old and new version.
If there is one thing that lets things good with BlogRush for me, it is the page that shows stats for each post basis. The main reason why this section is interesting is because show how much a reader has seen each single post and how many times they were clicked. In addition for each post there is a ‘Buzz’ rating.
I personally appreciate the way that the reports is laid out, using a simple interface that even your grand mother could understand out in a minute.
BlogRush adds a report page that show all post titles that work well. One great thing I learned with these ‘reports’ is how to understand which posts worked over a period and which didn’t. It’s a great way to know their popularity by other visitors
What appear to be lacking for me is that the performance is still very very low when it comes to CTR. I noticed there are new categories will be available on Friday, Nov.2nd, I hope this can help to increase my CTR.
Current Credit Balance seems completely blown out for me. I currently have a lot credits that are unused. According to source seem that this number goes up and down – but mine just keeps rising.
BlogRush have added another ‘flavors’ editing to their widget line. So it is easier than ever to customize your color scheme but with new sized you’ll need to change the code directly from the blog to change sizes.
BlogRush provides a competitive filter that works using keywords to block specific posts from appearing on your widget. There may be situations in which you don’t want to display particular blogs - for example, you may wish to block blogs that are competitors with your site.
The experience with this particular BlogRush widget was initially simple – up until the point where I seen the results that were blocked to us for the last couple of weeks. It was a little disappointing. However there are promises of new and interesting developments to come.
