Pay-Per-Play (PPP) Are Non-Intrusive Ads. It’s True?

I recently had occasion to experience what is becoming a new system of advertising similar to PPC called Pay-Per-Play(PPP). PPP works on a bid management system similar to Google AdWords and compensates publishers (web site owners) just like Google AdSense. Compared to traditional Pay per click It plays a small piece of audio-mercial once a page loads for about 5 seconds and It allows to pressing play to hear the audio.

When I have been approached by IMNewsWatch website and I was reading the landing page, I thought: Hey very nice! But it will work well? According to Charles, NetAudioAds™ Pay-Per-Play (PPP) are Non-Intrusive Ads system because:

  • the audios are played and not seen, they do not take up any webspace
  • the audios play for 5 seconds
  • the audios play once per visit
  • the audios are related to the content of the webpage

We fully understand that the system do not take up any webspace and will play audio once per visit. It’s all good. I would however to make an observation.
The audio will play automatically when you enter on the site. I think that if there is one thing that lets things down with NetAudioAds for me instead is just her annoying advertising altough it is only for 5 seconds.

I prefer to choose to play the ad or not like with Adsense Videos, and opt to play the video or not. If PPP advertising are set on auto play, it would be intrusive for me, but I think also for anyone visit websites that include these forms of advertising.

I think Charles of NetAudioAds has had a good Intuition, but if don’t makes it optional to listen to this audio ads, this system is far from ideal, because if I go on a website with audio-mercials, will give me only annoy to visit it.
