Do you want more exposure? Do you want more readers for your blog? What can you, as a budding internet entrepreneur, do?
Social media are part and parcel of the independent publisher’ day-to-day work. They are a great way for bloggers to find fresh ideas, develop new relationships, extend their reach, and drive more traffic to and give more visibility to their blog post.
Recently I’ve registered a Twitter account because I did not want miss out the great opportunity to give more visibility to my blog. Twitter is a microblogging platform easy to use and I think should be easy enough to maintain. I’ve already noticed that many famous bloggers are asking to their readers to follow them on twitter, and as you can read on the title of this post, now I’m doing it too. You can follow me on Twitter here – http://twitter.com/nicoladeiana.
What Is Twitter?
Twitter isn’t really a Social Networking site. Twitter is a microblogging that lets you post in 140 characters or less to do know to people what you are doing. It’s easy, it’s fun and I think it’s great. Twitter is a service for friends, family, and co–workers to communicate and stay connected through the exchange of quick, frequent answers to one simple question: What are you doing?

First and foremost, you need to sign up for Twitter program. It free. Second, you can find some people to followed, and Tweet your statuses and messages any time you have something to say.
For instance, your best friend could be interested in knowing if you’ve “heard the new R.e.m. album”, or your father may want to know if you’re “going to school”, or find out what your brother are doing, or you might want to know if your syster “is studying”
Dennis Howlett in an interesting articles titled “The 10 ways I learned to use Twitter in 2007″ sayd: “What I have seen today is the convergence of new media forms like Twitter and its add-ons, Seesmic, blogs and traditional TV media providing a powerful example of how important events are going to be reported, dissected, analyzed and ultimately acted upon from here on. Not some time in the future – but now.”
Twitter, A powerfull Tool For Internet Marketing
I’m new at Twitter yet, and I’ve got a low number of “follow”. Instead, I noticed that many bloggers who have an high profile, their Twitter feed goes up to 1500 people or more. In this case, Twitter can be used as marketing strategy to send traffic directly to their blog post, and allow them to make their blog informations available to a lot of people.
In my view, can be a quick way to build traffic and for those of you who enjoy writing but not marketing, this is your possible salvation. It can be compared what I do with email marketing, building a link bait to my blog through my email newsletter in some messages.
Your Twitter profile works like a Feed page that allows one to centralize a large number of websites and monitor them through a Twitter reader, which is basically a tunnel which channels contents right to your blog or website.
