How Does It Work: The Dodecahedrom
The dodecahedron that produces a overall scene is a sphere for immersive image capture through twelve perfect and symmetrical pentagonal facets(according to the golden ratio: A/B=(A+B)/A). Each lens produces even high quality images resolution in every direction.
The Telemmersion camerais designed to perform in difficult terrain and challenging conditions. You can carry it by hand or mount it on land, water or airborne vehicles. Eleven image streams arranged according to geodesic geometry capture and record a high-resolution, immersive image of your surroundings, at a resolution of over 100 milion pixels per second-much higher than HDTV – all in one camera. Four built-in microphones provide simultaneous omnidirectional audio recording. immersive image capture can include up to 5 different types of metadata, including GPS and IMU the camera can operate on batteries, and power safeguards ensure that you won’t lose important data. The hard drivers are hot-swappable, and the time-lapse feature means that you can record continuously over an extended period of time.
