Using Adwords to drive traffic to your landing page or affiliate links is become common to increase the traffic at websites. The downside is that not always getting many conversions. Direct Navigation traffic, is another way to buying search traffic. Also called type-in traffic, is got by buying domain names that get type-in traffic.

In brief, is the traffic generated by a person that go to a site directly by typing a URL (a web site address) in the browser address bar.
Direct Navigation traffic is a continual stream of highly targeted traffic that does not rely on search engine placement or paid advertising or links from other web sites.
For example, imagines that you’re promoting a travel. let’s say you be http://travel.fm/ owner.
You’ll get type-in traffic of people that will go on your website every day without pass from search engines but simply typing the domain name into their browser’s address bar.
That being said, let’s say http://travel.fm gets 10 user a day. Let’s say for one keyword, the first position on Google will cost you about $5 a day. If you use 10 keywords for this domain name, that’s a $50 value every day. If you pay $1000 for the domain name then you will have paid for it within a year. After that, you get always free clicks at your site.
I always stated that that type-in traffic converts very well; I think better than traffic from Google. What do you think? I would love to hear your thoughts on this especially if is better type-in traffic than Adwords traffic.
In my view, once you buy a domain name and getting its traffic, you don’t need to pay Google to have additional visitors.
The only problem is that many of good domain names are registered, but if you look well you can do good deals with incredibly low prices.
If you are looking for some of the more popular sites for buying already registered domain names I reccomend you to look for Sedo.com, Afternic.com, and BuyDomains.com.
