Feedburner: What Are Your Experiences?
Very few bloggers make a steady stream of thousand of uniques visitors a day. One thing I learned very well is that the most important visitors are the ones who promote your articles, who take the time to read your RSS feed much more so than the people who read your blog because comes from a search engine or a social bookmarking site.
If you remove our daily traffic, our search engine rankings, our paid advertising and we have only our subscribers, we can survive for years without any additional traffic.
The more people read your blog(via any feed) the more likely you are to achieve the goals you have for that blog.
The main reason most people use feedburner is because:
- Browser-Friendly. One of the most popular services that FeedBurner offers is the “Browser-Friendly” service. Instead of a disorienting xml file people get a nicely styled page that shows the contents of your feed.
- Email subscriptions. It allows publishers to deliver their feed content to subscribers via email.
- Go metric! The Recognized metric is a system of measurement to evaluate “blog worth”.
- Subscriber count chicklet. It’s a great tool for publishing your feed that show your website visitors how many people are already subscribing.
- Click tracking. It allows you to know which links people click on your feed.
