Don’t Understimate The AdSense Ads Placement
If your goal is to get your banner ads seen by as many people as possible, the correct position usually that help you make this is by placing your banner at the center of the front page above the fold and at the end of each post. Some bloggers use more the large rectangle(336×280) Ads format, other use more Skyscraper(120×600) and leader board(728×90). Personally I prefer the large rectangle(336×280) because I think it’s the AdSense Ads format that works better. In my site I set up the large rectangle with the following features:
- Title: 0000CC
- Background: ffffff
- Description: 000000
- URL: 008000
The Most Important Thing You Must Know About eCPM
eCPM(Effective Cost per 1000 impressions): Is the max sum that advertiser pay per 1000 Ad impressions. In little words, gives you a chance to know how much you can earn for every 1000 page impressions.
eCPM = (Total earnings / Impressions) X 1000
For Example: Now, you have $20.00 in your AdSense Account and you have total of 6000 impressions which make it 6 thousand impressions.
So, eCPM will be: ($10.00/7000)*1000= $3.33

Image that a site A buys advertisement through Google AdSense and the site is advertising. Then their ads are showing on your site.
What happens?
The site A don’t sells their own product or are full of affiliates(Yahoo, Ebay, Amazon include many of this sites). This is the reason why they pay low to be display on google.
So, I added them into my filter and my income increased! I can’t tell you exact numbers, but earnings are 2x higher than before. If you earn $1 per day, it’s nothing. If you earn $50 per day, then 2x more is $100, what is quite good.
