As I stated time and time again, never put all your eggs in one basket. There are many ways you can build up and make a blog profitable but I think some generic steps do apply for all types of blog, regardless of their niche or focus.
While I mentioned as you can make money through linkWorth (paid review and text link) or performancing ads(text link), I think that we might also expect a lot from private advertisements, right?. Today I tell you as.
If there’s one factor that can attracting new advertisers it is the number of unique visitors a day. I feel it’s ok for people to putting eight 125×125 buttons on their site sidebar with “Advertise Here”, but definitely will not make sell more.
To start make the money, for first you need to give reasons as to why they should buy advertise on your blog, then you will attract new advertiser to your door.
Empty spots: What You Can Do To Avoid It
Banner Exchange - Find someone in your niche and ask to him if you can do a banner exchange with his blog. I’m sure is a good thing if both of you have empty slots available.
Pagerank – If your PR4 site drop down to a 3 or 0, don’t hesitate to be quite. If there is one thing that lets things down with private advertise is talk about it.
Be An Affiliate – This is not the first time I have talked about these different forms of revenue where publisher earn a percentage of every sale. Display affiliate banners can be great way to do not let empty spots and do not have 8 buttons with “advertise here” and make some money at the same time.
Give Discounts – Some publisher start asking from $300 to 500$ for paid review. If you want to be credibly, then be yourself credible!
Be A Nice Guy – Why not develop a relationship between you and your advertisers. All you need to do is to give him a free ad spot for the month. Usually pays off in the long run.
