How To Set Up Adsense For Your Site

I give a variety of tips to successfully set up and integrate Google’s custom search engine into your website. In this way you can display the search results within a designated page on your site.

1. Create A Webpage For Adsense For Search

First and foremost you need to creating a web page on your domain for the search results page. Once you are in WordPress dashboard, click ‘Write a new Page’. I named the page by using ‘Search results for the3dtechnologies’, you can give a similar as the Page title. At this point publish the page. Remember this URL for the webpage because you will need to use it later.

2. Create Your Adsense Search Engine

Go on Google Adsense home page and sign in to your account, then “AdSense setup” and “AdSense for search”. After which, select the ‘Only sites I select‘ option where you specific a site or a list of site where run the search and along with the keywords.  Also, type in some keywords related to your site with separate space.

3. Choose The Style For Your Search Engine

At this point you can determine the look for your search box, and the style of the search results page. Also you can choose your prefered color so that the results pages becomes as you want.

Once you’ve completed the above steps at this point you can specify the search results details by inserting the URL where you want the results to appear. In brief is  the page you’ve created in step one.

5. Put The Code Into Your Blog

What do you get when you come at the end are two piece of codes. First, copy the search box code in your sidebar or where you want the search results to appear. I put this code in index.php and single.php and call this function on my homepage and other pages. Second, copy the search results code in the webpage you have created first (remember 1 point) and place it where you want the search results to appear.
