Every marketers goal is focalized on trying to increase the CTR of each web page in order to increase its sales page. In fact, is useless to concentrate all the efforts to increase the traffic. You can have all traffic of the world but if you have a low ctr don’t help you to sell your product or services.
What Is CTR?
CTR, or click through rate, is usually expressed as a percentage, is the fraction of users who click on a keyword advertisement to those that view that advertisement(an impression).

So What Is A Good CTR!?
So after all this, what is a good CTR? As you can see above, there are so many factors that there’s no way to predict a good CTR for your individual case, however here are some rules of thumb that we have observed:
- A CTR under 1% is considered bad.
- A CTR of 1-2% is fair to middling.
- A CTR greater than 2% is what you are looking for.
- A CTR greater than 4% is great.
The following 4 tips are ways that can increase your CTR.
1) Page design – If there’s one factor that can influence the ctr is the page design. Usually, websites have a complicated design, full of banners ads that increase customer anxiety when surfing the website and they tend to leave instead to click on. Build your pages such that the most important decision elements are along the primary eye path.
2) Simple buying process - This is more a function of the shopping cart software you choose, but it needs to be simple so people don’t abandon the buying process out of sheer frustration.
3) Place an ad banner strategically in between the article - Ads must be integral with the content, must not look like a separate unit. Also, use colors and themes that match your ads.
4) Experiment new banner ads- When you want to get someone to do something you need to arouse their interest, first. Let me tell a short story.
