The Ideal Business Model For Educational Content

Teaching something is become one of the most interest methods of making money online. Always you can find People that want to learn something, doesn’t really matter what the subject matter, If you have enough knowledge in a particular topic and you have the ability to put all your information into some kind of course, you can make a lot of money by it.

When I talk about a course online, I am talking here about educational material that has need a lot of time and work to be launched, and not as  something quick and cheap like those ebook out there.

However, one problem that I am seeing in this type of business models is that the two major ways of taking payments for educational material are flawed.

Let’s take the subject of learning how to make money blogging as an example. Yaro Starak use this subject too. Yaro is a guy who has a huge reputation in the internet marketing.

He has created two blogging courses, Blog Mastermind and Become a Bloggeras 6-month courses with a monthly membership for those six months.

This model allow you to try the product for a while before purchase the whole thing. I have signed up for at least 3 of Blog Mastermind courses and I choose to pay for my course in monthy installments and charge accordingly instead to Charge the entire fee up front.

The first downside I can see to this is that is the marketer has to decide when the course will be delivered – So, this system will not suit at all of his customers because any people are different and available in different time frame.

As I said before this is a seriously flawed method. The second downside is that when people choose to Charge the entire fee up front, they buy the course full of enthusiasm and they end up wasting most of their money because they never finish it.

So, What’s The Ideal Method?

In my view, in a ideal business method you will should paying educational material until you stop consuming it. Once you stop consuming, you stop paying. To make this you need to simply subdivide the course into chunks and allow the customers to just purchase it one chunk at once. This would be my ideal payment.

Instead, in the Yaro course the setup will bill the customer automatically each month unless he cancels. Sure for beginners I recomend to follow the entire course of Yaro, but for who has already experience can annoy too this fact.

Looking forward to hearing from you about what you think to be your ideal business model.
