The internet is the new Eldorado, a mythical land of gold and plenty, where the opportunities to build a business online are huge and growing every day.
Have created a lot interest on internet the histories of some people did a huge amount of money off Google Adsense. Are stories like that of Jeremy Schoemaker’s (ShoeMoney.com) and Markus Frind’s(plentyoffish.com) that have had more interest. Internet is full of Shoemoney’s six figure adsense check and a few stories on plenty of fish.

Recently, I read the complete story of Markus Frind’s Plenty of Fish.com site, and how he has reached over $10 million a year by working less then an hour per day.

“According to the research firm Hitwise, his creation is the largest dating website in the U.S. and quite possibly the world. Its traffic is four times that of the dating pioneer Match, which has annual revenue of $350 million and a staff that numbers in the hundreds….”
“Rather than try to compete directly with Match, the industry leader, he created a website that cost almost nothing to run and was aimed at the sort of people who wanted to browse a few profiles but weren’t ready to take out their credit cards. In doing so, he had found a way to reach a large, underserved market….”
“Frind made just $5 in his first month, but by the end of the year, he was making more than $3,300 a month, largely by selling ads to paid dating sites that were interested in getting his unpaid members to trade up. He quit his job….”
“By 2006, Plenty of Fish was serving 200 million pages each month, putting it in fifth place in the United States and first in Canada among dating sites. Frind was making amazingly good money, too: $10,000 a day through AdSense….”

Markus is a rare case of successful entrepreneur, but one might ask if will continue to turn his luck, because it’s hard to stays on top forever.
