In my experience, the only thing better of a JV is an direct promotion through your website where you personally have distribution and trust, in which case the relationship between you and the product itself is the better - because it’s your product you are recommending.
In this case, there is no disconnect in the mind of the audience, like there is with a JV or affiliate promotion. The downside to building your own audience through a blog and establishing trust with your readers is that it takes time, so, in these case, the JV method become the best choice.
4 Ways To Approach People For A Joint Venture
I often receive emails where people ask me to promote their product, and I often reject the message. I’ve been also rejected from people when I tried to promote my own products, so I learned what works and what I need to do from both sides. Here, what I learned:
1) Personal Approach - The first point is keep your email personal. Don’t approach with templates. Starting your email with a personal text tones like “Dear website owner”. It’s better than one that says “Dear Reader”. Remember, when you ask someone to promote for you, you are asking for a courtesy. Start a personal approach, is the better ways to get a courtesy.
2) Be courteous - Despite, you have a great product that could sell well, if you force people when you ask them to promote your product, you will make a big mistake and more probably they will reject your email. First, you need to establish a positive relationship with your potential partners, and that take time. Writing something that justify their attention, is the better ways to get a yes.
3) Build your community - Increasing your ‘friends connections’ is essential, especially if you haven’t a popular blog. Usually, who has a well known blog has need of less work to invest in relationship development. Once you find someone, try to create an approach first, check what are their motivation, and try to resolve their problems, is a good way to open the door to a relationship.
4) Do favors first to ask something - Reciprocity help people to consider your offers. You need to returning the favor when someone does something for you.  Think about other ways you can help. Send brief emails, and then see where they might need help.
These are only a few point of a more vast topic. If you have never done a JV before and you want learn this superior form of marketing, then I reccomend you to joining Blogmastermind program, Yaro is an expert in that.
