Today, prices of housing, gas, food, clothing, and medicines are steadily rising. People has a huge number of things in mind where to save their money, that compete against each other, ranging from the immediate needs for new car as saving for travel or for the college, and so on.
The situation is: You’ve paid your debt, and you need know where to save your money. Usually, people don’t know where to start especially when they have a lot of things to think. However it’s also very doable.
There are so many things you can save, so how do you set priorities with savings? To put it bluntly, if my budget is already in order, how can I decide which thing I should save towards first?

Whether you’re old or young, in ailing health or as strong, having a savings account is a very important and wise priority, especially if you’re living paycheck-to-paycheck.
Recently, I open multiple accounts at ING Direct to decide which things to save, but I found tough one for me to decide which things to save for and when. However, here’s what I’ve saving from last summer.
- Saving for emergency
- Saving for vacation
- Saving for new car
- Saving for education
Now, the question is: How choose what you should save? Well, two main things can help you decide which savings goals are priority, is that to be methodical, and need of develop a plan.
My method consist to choose just one thing at time. Here’s how I do:
Do a list of the things that you need to get done in the order of their priority or things most and less important you’d like to save. For example, a new car, trip to United States, summer wardrabe, etc.
Ordering each items in base the importance or that you want to see saved first. Once realized the list, assign a minimum monthly payment to each item. At this point save for only one thing at a time. Once you’ve saved an item, add a new item at the bottom and save another item, and so on.
Prioritizing your money might be a bit difficult initially, but making sacrifices can become very doable. Once you’ve got things under control will keep stress away and bring you peace of mind.
