Pretty often I hear people complaining about how hard it is to generate revenue from E-commerce sites. Sure, new software such as buildanichestore have made the process simpler and easier than ever to build your own ebay store, but some sites still get fail. However, for the most part, it can still get better.

Since I’ve been writing post about build a niche store, I feel to share a few e-commerce site advices to help people to increase their site conversion – 8 tips, in total. For This example I use medicaldentalequipment.com.
1. Show search engine - Add a search box to search within your own ebay store. Put it at the top-center of any page in order to be always visible.
2. Sidebar Navigation – Make sure to add a store navigation inside your sidebar with more than 1 sub-level of navigation. This should be accomplished with headlines(e.g. Home > Category > Sub-cat > Product).
3. Show the products – If you have more product in a sub-category, give a chance your user to seeing every product on one page. For each product show its price and sale ends. I really hate sites that make me enter their cart before telling me the price of the item.
4. Brief description – Add a brief sum for any topic.
5. Show critical information – Share critical information in the product details. There are many site out there that don’t show it and usually I lost a lot time before find the product is right for me.
6. Add photos as possible – Photos, videos, review are never enough for helping the users have a better idea prior purchase. Also, add further image functionality by allowing users to zoom images and check the product in fine detail.
7. Add features – Show popular products, new o latest product, user rating or editor rating.
8. Brand - Create a simple logo easy to remember in order identity your site. A good brand can explains everything about your business.
