Creating a business brand is not only about makes a good logo with a special font and decent design. A business brand is more about the owner. It’s what the owner does, says, his marketing message, and how he use every aspect of the business.
It’s the way a person does business and maintain relationships with other people or treats with other people. A real branding build the trust not through models or slogans, but through human interaction.
Advertising companies spend a lot money and time to give value at their brand, otherwise they wouldn’t have a means to value their services. However, a brand is something you can’t really measure its value.
In internet, one thing you can measure and determine is how much you spend and which are your money in return. Internet can be a great opportunity for small businesses, for instance through PPC(pay per click) advertising you can spend $50 a day to make $150 in profit, you can measure more variables, and know if it’s worth your while.

However, when you spend money on advertisements and convert visitors into sales, you can have a significant positive impact on the income, but it might even have the reverse effect or be worth less than what you spent.
This principle worth for any kind of advertising that convert the traffic into sales and allow you to measure it. In internet the “direct response” work better because it is cheaper and you can quantify a result, and online advertising is the only system of advertising where people invest money in branding.
There are many small companies don’t spend a cent on advertising, but using online marketing to measure their results and see what works or what not. This is a question that I’m asked a lot for my business if is better to invest money to increase my branding and then my profit.
Also, there’s company that not looking to increasing the number of click, but they want that their brand is associated with the website that host their banner. Mainly, they want two thing:
- They want target traffic in their consumer base and exposure their brand in site in the same niche.
- They want site leader in their industry and that had credibility in order to transfer that credibility in their sponsor.
For many companies, there’s nothing easier than getting other people to promote their services for them through affiliate programs. But the better thing affiliate marketing do, is help company to grow their brand by sharing their banners all over their websites.
Small affiliates play a role too to help companies to grow their visibility, which means their brand can get trust and a better position on the market.
