7 Mistakes In Guest Posting

Is not new that people do guest posting,  basically only to promote their blogs, and sharing their own experience. However, If you’re looking to have a post published on someone else’s blog, there’s are some chance that your guest post will be rejected. Why?

Today I want share some quick tips on how NOT to approach getting a guest post published. They come from my own experience of approaching with a number of blog to write on their blogs.

1. Poor quality contents - One of the main reasons to not get a guest post published from bloggers is due of the quality of writing. There’s no need to be no1 at spelling or grammar to be a successful blogger, but not all Bloggers are also a value Bloggers.

2. Using the same guest post – Pretty often, I heard people submitting a guest post that was already posted in the past.

3. Submitting a guest post that they’ve already posted - Another mistake many people do is to using content published on their blog. The downside is that these contents are total useless because doesn’t rank well in Google.

4. Good content but different topic – Another thing many people do is to submit a guest post that have irrelevant content. For instance someone could receive a post titled ‘How to start a business online” while your blog is about “design”. That showing a lack of understanding of the topic of the blogs. Personally, I find that approach ridiculous.

5. Topics recently covered – This is another thing to avoid. You  have just wrote one of the best and complete article but you’ve not seen that the post submitted are on topics that are already covered. I reccomended you to make a little research for keyword before writing it.

6. Promote yourself – If you’re going to use link-back to your own blog in the guest post to make self promotion, make sure they’re completely useful to readers, because if you’re too self-promotion your post more probably don’t get accepted. Don’t worry, even if you don’t include a link to your website in the guest post, if you have something of interesting, people will try to connect with you and search about you.

7. Different ideas – You could have different ideas on a particular topic and blogger doesn’t agree with what you’re going to write. 

I haven’t guest-blogged, yet, but I want starting tomorrow. I’ve enought traffic and amount of posts in my online marketing blog. I urge you to submit your guest post TOMORROW.
