Recently, IZEA CEO Ted Murphy launched a new money maker services, called Sponsored Tweets. In a nutshell, is a new advertising platform that allows to create sponsored conversations on Twitter.
Similar to Pay Per Post, Tweeters can earn money by spreading tweet on Twitter. Sure, there are other services offering to pay Twitter users for sending our tweets, but Sponsored Tweets is more professional.
Sponsored Tweets started with a bunch of big name Twitter celebrities like Playboy Playmate, Holly Madison and comedian, Carrot Top. Also, there are web celebrity like Shoemoney, Neil Patel, then It worth to join.
Today, I’m looking at Sponsor Tweets from an tweeters point of view.
How Does It Start
Signing up for Sponsored Tweets account is easy as pie. All you have to do is to click on “click here to sign up” button and add your Twitter login information. That it! Once done, you are able to log into the control panel. In this way, never people can access with your Twitter name.
How Does It Work
- Advertisers selects and makes an offer to relevant tweeters.
- Tweeters write tweets and includes kinks to advertiser’s site.
- SponsoredTweets facilitates payments to the tweeters electronically.
As you can see on the image above, through your Sponsored Tweets control panel, you can set your tweet price and change any information. You can choose between two price model: charge per tweet and charge per click. These values depend how much followers and “celebrity” status you have. I set my tweet price at $30.
Once you accept an offer, your account will be credited within 24 hours of your tweet. You can cash out once your account reaches $50.
Sponsored Tweets do not take a cut of your tweet price, they makes money by taking a percentage from the advertisers. For instance, if you earn $50 you will be paid $50.
Conclusion
In my view, you need to have huge followers before to get an advertiser. I just checked the Twitters TOS and it seems that Sponsered Tweets could be considered SPAM if your account is not posting any real content. Then, make sure to maintain other quality tweets then this would just be another tweet as far as twitter is concerned.
