I can confirm this because I’m a self-employed person, I work 12 hours daily than when I was an employee. Yes, self-employment give you no more freedom — at least when it came to my time.
Now, the question is: What allows me really to do? Well, it allows me to express myself freely. At the end, I believe this is the real freedom for those people that create an own business and who love what they do.
I left my old work in 2007 as an engineer because I was tired of my life, of being submissive by my boss, and because I couldn’t do what I really wanted for my myself — so I left.
