Often people find that long posts can be daunting to read and force them to leave your site. For this reason, some writers try to keep their posts short, because they afraid of scaring away readers by too much information on them all at once. To avoid this awful fate, for instance, they try to cut longer post into a series of posts.
However, despite make sense, is doesn’t work that way. In general, a long or a short post isn’t wrong and does not influence whether I’ll read it. The length of a post has nothing to do with how good or bad it is.
For instance, if you’re appassionate of books, a long or a short book depends from the story. Some stories take 300 pages to tell. Others, can be wrote in 30 pages or less. In my view, you need to know how long it’ll take to tell your story, and then editing it, until the book is perfect. The same rule is worth in blogging…..
Long blog posts don’t scare away readers, but often people stop reading if the grammar or spelling is exceptionally poor. My blog posts are often at least 800-1000 words. They treat a subject thoroughly, and they get incredible results for me.
Usually, visitors when reading a blog post, first scan the post for paragraph headers. If those reach out and grab their attention, they usually will read the entire articles regardless of the length.
Whereas before, readers tolerated some blog contents because the blog was a new platform where tell your thoughts. Now, blogs have the same important as magazines and newspapers, and you have to be ready to meet readers needs. Readers expect you to deliver high quality content.
Conclusion
In general, I reccomend you to use a strong language withouth be ponderous. If you love your readers, you’ll bend over backwards to make your post as good as possible. Remember, readers appreciate clear, concise communication–especially online.
If you think to make a long post, may be a good idea to cut out the stuff that isn’t really that impressive. Only leave the important things. Also, as long as the words keeps your interest, then it’s probably the right length.
However, If you want to see your blog grow, however, writing isn’t just another one of those things that you should do. There are many factor that determine your successful online, such as seo, social media, and so on. Blogging is something of hard and take a lot of work.
