Is Branding Dead?

In these years, branding is increasingly become an important component in the economy. A brand is a name that let customers identify with a product. There are some cases where the brand is become crucial to identify the product, for instance in giant companies like Nike, Apple, Coke. But the question I want to ask today is the follow: The rest of us bloggers make any sense have a brand?

For some people, a brand is an artificial component created by companies to manipulate the gullible. For other branding is a waste of time, and there’s no need of a brand to make a product look good. There are bloggers that create milions dollars in sales using only their ability and without colourful brand. Just because their are better.

Why Branding Is Important?

whatever definition of brand today, there are different reason because there’s need to build your brand. This presentation give you an quick idea because branding is so important for your business.

For Seth Godin’s a brand is “a promise made over time” in my view is a better view. This definition works well for itech products because they promise breakthrough design and stylish, user-friendly product that will make you cooler just by owning them, but this definition does it work for site or blog?

Does It Work For the3dtechnologies?

My site promise useful tips to help people making money online, start a business from scratch. I care about the quality of my contents so I think this definition is perfect for my blog.

I find strange that so often the brand thing is viewed tactically as logos. In general branding isn’t only your blog logo or your blog header. To work as a brand, you need to promise something to your potential customers. Brands are created by what we say, but especially, what we do – what our potential customers and readers experience say to their friends.

Your brand is what your AUDIENCE says about your site and business, if it’s good or bad. For instance, if your site sell itech products your brand must promises the lowest prices possible, and so on.

Is Branding Dead?

Sure, I’ll continue to believe that the brand viewed as logos lives on, however, I also believe they aren’t so important as some years ago.

Brand viewed as logos can be important if you want people to recognize you and remember who you are, but in tough economies like the one we are in, it’s much harder for companies to promote their brand. I think it’s more better to immerse brands into our culture as completely as possible and focusing more at the social interaction. Branding has a lot to do with that.

The new definition of branding offers marketers much more power and flexibility then a simple logo.

And you? What is the brand for you?
