After wrote my article titled “site build it is a scam” I received several email from people who want me some suggestion on how to improve their affiliate marketing website created with Site Build It!(SBI!), in order to make money from it.
So, I wondered why so many people want to build an site about affiliate marketing.
I’ve noticed many of these people came across and were inspired on associateprograms.com. It’s the right example to take inspiration if you want to build an affiliate marketing website.
The first impression about associateprograms.com homepage is that it give you all information about how to make money from affiliate marketing. Unfortunatly, here, where many people go wrong, because they show on their homepage only affiliate promotion or sell something.
First and foremost, a good affiliate marketing site should teach people how to make money with affiliate programs.
Also, many people that start an affiliate site, write content already wrote. Unfortunatly, that’s not the strategy to follow if you want keep people reading your post.
Here,s I’ve put a short list of things most people don’t consider when create their affiliate marketing website:
1. First and foremost, People don’t choose the right niche to having a more chance of being found in the search engines.
2. People don’t give quality and detailed contents that make their post unique from other competitors out there. In my view, If you’re going to build a site on “how to make money with affiliate programs”, I reccomend don’t give generic informations that people can discover elsewhere. Providing information that can only be found on your website.
Trying to tell your readers which are the step by step process that help them to discover how they make money online and put all results you got.
You can teach people how to find the profitable affiliate programs, by using your own experience and give then useful tips they may not know or be able to find online.
3. People use writing style not personal. Remember, be careful when you choose the style of your content. Your writing style affects the level of “visitor engagement” on your site.
4. People don’t show real proof. To have trust by people you need to to give real proof of your improvements. Your visitors want to have real proof of what you are teaching and your real experience.
I felt compelled to talk about affiliate marketing niche because I noticed so many people making the same mistakes when they create destination websites.
