In these month, I made some change in my marketing strategies. After had a bit of experience, I came to the conclusion that there are certain techniques that I consider worthless such as:
- Using Twitter to tweet 10 times a day.
- Getting hundred of bad link.
- Re-writing article and submitting them to articles directories.
- Spending lots of my time comments on other blogs.
- Don’t promote anything.
Personally, I love data reports and see how visitors are using my website, where they come from and what they are looking at in order to do not spending too much time on empty promotional techniques.

Measuring the results every day is the better way of adjust your strategy or move on to something else. For instance, I use Twitter as many people out there, but Just because you tweet 10 times a day and have thousand of followers, It doesn’t necessarily mean much if you aren’t measuring the effectiveness.
If you don’t know you can use a service called “bit.ly” to track many of the URL shortening service. Once you are a member, you can pull full data reports about your Twitter profile, as the number of click of your followers as well.
That way you can see how many people are clicking on your links. Many of you probably don’t know this value, so you have no idea how your tweets are performing. By using this service you can learn what type of tweets get the most clicks.
Another thing many people are obsessed is to obtaining as many links as possible, but in my view this is no more strategy to follow, today. Instead to spend many of hours per week hunting for link exchanges, select only some quality link and use the time saved to creates some strong and unique article that attract new readers and make them coming back to your site again and again, and maybe do get some other quality link.
In these years I saw emerge different ways to get more visibility, through marketing online, but one of the fast way to grow the site traffic is that to add your article to articles directory such as Ezineraticles or Go article.
If on one hand this method help you build traffic quickly, on the other hand if you do not be careful by posting article you risk to be penalized by search engines like Google because you do spam. If there’s one thing that I stopped doing is to post comment such as “great post” or even “the better post I’ve read”. In my experience, I can say that quality of comments are even more important than the quantity,

I’ve learned that is most important to promote products you’ve bought and used. It’s a fact that I sold more product I’ve tested than products I don’t never used.
