Twitter is a popular instant messaging system that allows people to send brief text messages up to 140 characters in length to people that follow you. Messages can be sent and received via pc, and cellphone text messaging (SMS).

1. Using pictures – You can get more retweet through images. Twitpic is the ideal place that allows you to easily post pictures to the Twitter platform. If you don’t know, there are images that get thousand of retweet for pics.
Note: If you have an iPhone and you want to upload your photo through it, you can use apps such as tweetie.
2. Don’t Leave your bio blank – If you want to get people to trust you, first you need to do they know about you. Tweets don’t allows people to know about you. Fill out your bio is the only way to encourage people to follow you because people know who you are.
3. Make your profile visible - Add links to your Twitter profile into any place as possible. Put a link to your favorite social bookmarking site such as Digg, Delicious, or social networking like Facebook, as forum as well.
4. Check your results – Track how many new users you’re adding per day. You can use TwitterCounter to make it. Also, Qwitter e-mails let you know when someone stops following you on Twitter with a message like this:

5. Follow other tweeters – Watch what’s the top twitter users tweet. Check out what they write and what people are talking about and send direct messages too.
6. Be simple – Leave simple messages about your passions in life and #hash tag them. You create a hashtag simply by prefixing a word with a hash symbol: #hashtag.
7. Retweeting – Retweeting is how Twitter users share interesting tweets from the people they are following. Encourage your readers to retweet your links by add a button onto your articles. Retweeting help you to get clicks back to your profile. Also, you can track your retweets using retweetist.
