Usually, I do don’t use CPA marketing in this way but in its most common form. As affiliate marketer, my purpose is that to primarily to find value product for my readers, create a mainling list and promoting pay-for-action(per sale or lead) products.
This article will show what CPA marketing is, which are the pros and cons and how I use it as an affiliate publisher.

An Introduction To CPA Affiliate Marketing?
Is a marketing methods where payment is based on a particular action such as sales or registration. For instance, you can create a squeeze page and get someone that subscribe to your mailing list.
Once they enter the name and email, or only the email, they will complete an online form registration, and affiliate got paid for each lead they got.
According to Wikipedia:
Cost Per Action or CPA (sometimes known as Pay Per Action or PPA) is an online advertising pricing model, where the advertiser pays for each specified action (a purchase, a form submission, and so on) linked to the advertisement.
Direct response advertisers consider CPA the optimal way to buy online advertising, as an advertiser only pays for the ad when the desired action has occurred. An action can be a product being purchased, a form being filled, etc. The desired action to be performed is determined by the advertiser.
Usually, they earn from $1.00 to $1.50 per lead, but there are other cases more lucrative. Credit card pay until $50 for approval for premium credits such as the Amerian Express preferred rewards Gold card. The reason top companies pay a lot for each lead generated is because have big advertising budgets and use their money to try and place their ads here.
Another example of profitable market that pay a lot for each lead generated is the mortgage refinancing. The reason they pay a lot is because for each new morgage arranged it’s worth $50 to a mortgage broker to buy thos leads.
CPA Marketing Pros And Cons
Of course, as every things CPA Marketing there are both plusses and minus’s for CPA marketing. Below, I’ve made my personal list:
Pros
1. If you have an mailing list you are able to drive traffic to your landing page. In this case can be either your webpage(if you have one) or directly to the original landing page.
2. Affiliates can negotiate with CPA Network managers to get an higher CPA rate.
3. Many CPA campaigns provides free product trials, free coupons, and so on, which become easy to sell.
4. You can just using Adwords or ant other ppc program to drive traffic to yuor affiliate landing page without need of a website.
Cons
1. Yahoo does not permits affiliates to link directy to landing pages. Google allow direct linking but only one ad per url is allowed to show at a time, so become highly competitive.
2. CPA Networks be carefull when choose their own affiliates. Usually, they ask this qustions before to accept a new affiliates such as:
- Do you drive traffic via website promotion? If yes, how much traffic does your site site receive on a monthly basis?
- What is the country of origin of the visitors to your site?
- Do you drive traffic via email promotion? If yes, what is the size of your email list?
- and so on..
A Simple Approach To CPA
I rarely spend money on ppc advertising like Adwords to earn from CPA offers. My strategy is that to includes a simple 125×125 banner on the right sidebar of my three blog or add promos on my weekly mailing list.
