1. Join To Blog Network And Directories

The first thing I reccomend when create your first blog is to join to some blog Networks. Of course, there’s not need to join to a lot of blog networks, but only those that could be profitable for your business.

Here, I’ve put the 2 most known Blog directories/network which I reccomend to use.

Technorati – Is still one of most popular blog directory out there. Anyone start blogging submit their blog to Technorati and verify their ownership.

Blogcatalog – If you want to get lots of traffic and link back to your blog, Blogcatalog is one of the better blog network to do it.

2. Sitemap submission

If you have a blog or site, you probably know the importance of submitting a valid sitemap to top search engines. Creating a sitemap is very simple, all you need to do is to using a free services like xml-sitemaps.com. Once done, you need to submit the files to the major search engines.

To submit a sitemap to Google, first create a free Google Webmaster account. Once submit your site(s) on the front page, then click its link, and look for the “Sitemaps” link on the left bar. Now, click “Add sitemap”. That it!

To submit your sitemaps to Yahoo, go on Yahoo Site Explorer and create a free account. At this point add your site, then click on the link you’ve created. On the left sidebar click on “Add feed” button. Yahoo will then add your sitemap to its queue.

To submit a new sitemap to Bing, just go on Bing Webmaster Center, then create an MSN account and add your sites and point to their XML sitemap(s). Don’t forget to use MSN’s site verification feature.
