There are so many ways to build a great blog that becomes hard to summarize them in one article. Each blog is going to be different because its topic, however, there are some common foundations you can consider to start your next blog. The following are six foundations that will take you from scratch to a successful blog:
Foundation 1 – Content

The content that you write will vary depending upon the type of blog you’re running and its topic. You can use a variety of techniques to make your posts easier to read. Some of these techniques include:
- Headings – Using large bold words are a great ways of drawing readers further into articles.
- Formatting – Use, italics, bold, select text color(for instance I select the red color for each price and the green color for each number on my content) underlining, in order to emphasize points. Of course, be sure to don’t go overboard because you could to risk of irritate your readers.
- Pictures – According to research eyes are attracted down by pictures. Be sure to place them in key points and you have more of a chance of getting readers to read full articles.
- Bullet point - Creating a full lists of useful tips and link it to other related posts written in of an essay style.
- Blockquotes – They are another great way to drown the attention of readers.
- Space – Don’t fill up every part of your page. Create spaces that help to draw readers eyes to what is inside such space.
Foundation 2: Post Frequently

In the latest three years, I’ve focused my effort for building content for beginners. My aim was for every post to solve problems related how do to create a blog or website and make money by them.
My post frequence was about 2 post per week but aimed to get it daily after 1year. I figured that were better start with more stuff and generate at least 4 blog post per week. Being there on a regular basis is crucial to blog success. Your daily presence sends a strong signal to your audience.
Foundation 3 – Establish Relationship

There are some simple things you can do to establish relationship to your readers.
- An introduction to the blog – Write an about me page is the best way to do it. To be credible you need to share your own story and success as it pertains to your niche.
- Pillar article - A pillar article is usually an article aimed to teach your audience something(for instance a tutorial). Generally they are longer than 500 words and have lots of very practical tips or advice.
- Viral content – To create it you need to have a lot of experience with blogging. The best thing to do is to write something of unique and hope of getting attention. It isn’t simple found the type of post to write, however these post are often a comprehensive list or little guides.
Foundation 4 – Promotion

Increasing exposure to your business is the best way to increase walk-in sales to your establishment and the internet is massive exposure at it’s best.
There are many sources of traffic to a blog. As I write this many are already springing to mind.
For example some bloggers leave useful comment to rlate website, write guest posts on site in your same niche, use polls, crate forums,etc.
- Social bookmarking – Usually, I submit only selected post. I look those article could do well on site like Digg or Stumbleupon.
- Internal link - An effective internal linking strategy help you in three ways: 1) You can increase page views and if you using adsense impression. 2) You can encourage readers to stay on your blog longer. 3) it can help to improve the search engine rankings for your posts and pages.
- Newsletter – Newsletter is a great way to drive traffic to your site. If you include a link to it in your next newsletter you will signal to your readers that it’s a pillar post that you feel deserves their attention.
- Article marketing – I do always article marketing to promote my blog. I like that. Recently I started making article marketing to promote my latest book “How to make money”. Usually, I use article directory such as Ezinearticle, Go Article, Articlebase and site like Hube page to do it. I wrote a comprensive guide on how do article marketing that I suggest to read.
Foundation 5 – Community

Readers want to interact, join, participate. Creating passionate users is important to building your own community around your blog.

The more they become involved, the more likely they are to stick with it through the rough spots in their own learning curve, and we all know that having to teach or explain something to another person accelerates our own understanding and memory of the topic.”
Use polls, start discussions, run debates, ask questions, highlight readers work, invite people to promote themselves on your blog, link to your readers.
When you build community you build an army of appasionate to your blog, create social proof and open many doors for growth and strengthening of your site.
Foundation 6 – Monetize You Blog
When I started my first site the3dtechnologies, my main focus wasn’t to make money online, but I focused upon the above 5 foundations and let the monetization grow naturally as my traffic grew. However, my site was profitable from the first month or two
The 1 years I monetized through 2 AdSense and Infolinks. 50% of the income in years 1-2 was from ad networks. In the Years 2-3 I started with affiliate marketing though affiliate network such as Clickbank, and JC. In the 3° year I’ve joined to Peperjam and Shareasale as well.
