CPanel(easiest control panel) is a fully featured web-based control panel that allows you to manage your domain through a web interface. How To Set Up Your Blog
When it comes to hosting, Bluehost is one of the world’s to 10 largest web hosting companies with over 800,000 domains hosted. The best thing is that is one of the few hosting company that offers CPanel hosting.
OK, let’s start with the step by step process to set up your blog.
To register to Blueshost all you have to do is click on “Sign up Now” button.

In the next page, you can type the domain name you want to transfer to Bluehost(domain.com). You will find that you have two choices: Enter a new domain name(image left) or enter the domain name you already have(image right).

Ok, choose the price for your domain:
- 24 month price - $6.95 per month(reccomended)
- 12 month price - $7.95 per month
- 6 month price - $8.95 per month, +$30 setup fee, +$10 for your domain name

Setting Up Email In CPANEL
To set up an e-mail account for ANY domain is very easy.
- Go into your CPanel, than in the section called “email” click Email Accounts icon.
- Under Add a New Email Account section, enter a handle name, e.g. bob, info, admin,.
- Select the appropriate domain from the drop-down list after @ character.
- Enter a password for this email account. This can always be changed later.
- Click the Create button.
Once you have all the email accounts created, you can check the email accounts 1 of 2 ways:
1) Check the email using the webmail athttp://www.yourdomain.com/webmail. When prompted, enter the complete email address (e.g. bob@yourdomain.com) as the user and the password for this email account.
If you do not have access to www.yourdomain.com/webmail because port 2095 is blocked on your network, you can alternately use http://login.bluehost.com using same login credential as described above.
2) Set up an Email client like Outlook, Thunderbird, Mac Mail, etc. See this Knowledge Base article Quick Email Setup for basic setups.

Starting a blog with Bluehost is very easy. All you need to do is use the “Fantastico button”. The fantastico script installer allows anyone to install a few software base, quickly. WordPress Blog Set Up

Once installed WordPress, go to www.your-domain-name.com/wp-login.php(of course, change “your-domain-name.com” with your real domain) and type user name and password.
Once into your dashboard you need to change your permanente link. By default, WordPress uses a dynamic structure that simply allocates a page a number. In order to maximise search engine traffic you will want to ensure that the permalinks on your site have your keywords in them. Here’s an example of a permalink:
http://www.yoursite.com/article/
How to change your permanent link: From the Dashboard, click on Setting, then from the lower layer of the menu, click Permalinks:
There are three main choices, none of which are suitable! Thankfully, you can also specify a custom setting . Here is it:
/%postname%/
What that means is that it will simply use the name of your page(title of your post) as the url.
Now when I refresh the page I was looking at, my address bar has changed:
Ahh, more search engine friendly.
Add Plugins
It time to add some useful plugins. By default you have already installed Akismet. If you would to add some new plugin, simply download the plugin from the original site, then upload it through an FTP client like Filezilla. To see how do to install Filezilla, I reccomend to download my book “how to make money online”
I personally don’t have installed a lot of plugins. However, it is no the first time I get ask “Nicola, what WordPress main plugins do you use”?
So, here a list of plugin I use:
- Similar Post
- Twitter Tools
- wp db backup
- Defensio
- WordPress thread comment
- Mobify.me
- Wp table
- Publish to Facebook
- Recaptcha
- Sideblog
Add A Professional Wp Theme
When you saw the3dtechnologies.com you probably thought, COOL and then thought to yourself, just if I could create a blog like that! Well I have to be honest with you, I paid $89 for my WordPress Theme.
The main reason you should use a custom wp theme is because has a lot of features and allows you to change many aspect of your layout and design quickly.
Once bought it and download it, if do not sure how to ftp it, use Filezilla(it’s free). Download my book to know how to download and use it.
Once logged, in the right side, click ‘wp-content’ than ‘themes’ and upload your theme folder there. That it! On your WordPress dashboard, go on design and select the preview of the theme you’ve installed. That it!
Congratulations because younow are a new blogger.

Great overview.. I’m very happy with bluehost.
