According to Malcolm Coles there was a new change in Google’s ranking algorithms. If you type on their search engine box the name of a company, many of the top search results are pages from that site.
For instance, if you type ‘apple’ you get several pages from apple.com on the first page of Google search results.
According to Google: “We periodically reassess our ranking and UI choices, and today we made a change to allow a larger number of pages from the same site to appear for a given query. This happens for searches that indicate a strong user interest in a particular domain.”
So, Google confermed it. However, Google search result doesn’t show too many results from Apple’s official site when searching for ‘apple Iphone’(image below), it seem in fact that they want to leave some result free for those people that want to read reviews, news articles, information from Wikipedia, and so on.
