In these 4 years as blogger and affiliate marketer I learned a couple of things to selling products online. I read lots of books, case study, I bought a couple of courses, some of which didn’t impressed me much.
Anyway, I finally found some ways to selling your own product online that I decided it would be best to share:

Usually, the successful product launches have 3 things in common:
- An offer that it is hard to refuse.
- A great sales page that convert well.
- Hundred if not thousand of affiliates.
I still feel I have a lot to learn but thought I’d take a few minutes out today to reflect on some of the key step I’ve learned about selling a Product Online.
1. Create your Digital Product
First and foremost you have need of a plan to understand what are your readers needs. There several ways to put down a digital product.
If you want to write an ebook, there’s no need to put togheter a 200 pages, people don’t care. You can teach something in 30 pages as well, as long as it’s unique and works.
There are so many different ways you can put down a new product, depending on your topic, and what you want your readers to know.
In a nutshell you have to solve a problem, so If we take the example of make money online, the problem being solved is people learning how to make money online.
The two great ways to put togheter digital products are eBooks and Membership sites, both do the same thing, just are delivered differently. eBooks are usually just word documents which are converted into PDF’s to improve usability / presentation and membership sites usually have video and text.
2. Delivering Your Product To The Customer
This is the best part, because you see everything come together. Once you have your product ready, it is time to build your membership area or landing page. As I said above it depends on how you want to present your product.
eBooks are usually presented through PDF’s files while membership sites have video and text. In this second case I’ll suggest you to create your membership area or download pages on WordPress, while a
Next, we have to pick what membeship plugin or landing page plugin is right for ours purpose. Just don’t go for any names.
I found a great product and it is by far the strongest and best choices anyone can do. The best part is that this product let you to create both sales letters, or if you prefer put on a professional membership site, as well.
3. Customizing Your Membership Site Design And Layout
My friend James Dyson developed a revolutionary new WordPress Theme called OptimizePress which let you create your membership from scratch as killer squeeze pages, sales letters, one-time offer pages, launch pages and much more, all through a simple point and click interface.
You don’t need to know any php or html language, and you certainly don’t need to be a designer to create amazing looking and high converting pages with OptimizePress.
You must watch the video on his site to understand just how advanced and easy to use this WordPress Theme is. Click here to visit OptimizePress.
4. Creating Your Sales Page
As I always mentioned on my previous post, creating a sales page is really important, you can send all the traffic in the world to your sales page but if it doesn’t look good it never will convert well. Look at my landing page it let me turn my visitors in subscribers wery well, that because is simple but effective.
Using WordPress again with OptimizePress you can create your sales page quickly. All you have to do is drag and drop all the different things you want on your sales page, add some text and choose your template design and your nearly done.
One thing I highly recommend, is get an eCover designed for your product, it’s important an image to show, this helps you to show perceived value, and how your product would look if it was a physical product, which of course increases your conversions.
