It run an Intel Ultra Mobile Platform 2007, 26.5mm thickness and 580g weight, fingerprint recognition sensor and TPM(Trusted Platform Module). It also packs a built-in keyboard light.
The U1010 is available for 1,290,000(KRW) in Korea market.

Amtek(www.amtek.com.tw) presented its 4.8-inch UMPC ‘U560′ during Computex 2007 in Taipei, Taiwan. The U560 features 1024 x 600 resolution sliding LCD, Intel processor A110, A100 (600, 800MHz) CPU, Windows Vista OS, 512MB memory and 40GB hard disc. Other features include 1.3M camera, Bluetooth, WiFi, CF memory slot and two USB ports.
It is expected to be released in the market with docking stations in December.

We tracked on the net a Fujitsu LifeBook E8410 off the production line and mentioned with its features. The new Fujitsu LifeBook E8410 are available in two models: E8410 SD20VP and E8410 SD22VP.
The first point worth referring to is the design, which is undoubtedly compact but which also gives off a Intel’s Santa Rosa processor, NVIDIA GeForce 8400M graphics card, 15.4 inch display, memory stick/SD card slots, an integrated 1.3MP webcam, a 120GB hard drive, and USB 2.0.
The new E8410 go on sale in Korea, SD20VP for $1700 and SD22VP for around $1900.

Palm has launched a new laptop called ‘Foleo’. It weights around 2.5 libbre, so it carry along anywhere. Palm Foleo offers a 10-inch display (1024×600 px resolution) and runs on linux operating system(including email, word,excel, powerpoint and pdf). According to Palm, “Foleo and its paired smartphone stay synchronized throughout the day or at the touch of a button”.
The battery should give around five hours. No bad! It also includes a full-size Querty keyboard, video-out port, head phone jack, usb port, and compact flash cards for memory expansion. Foleo is slated for release in this summer for $499. The result is a unique harmony of form and function a flexible, ultra low-cost, power-efficient.

With 990g of weights, it offer a display 7-inch display touchscreen, while the battery provides up to 4.5 hours of continues use. It supports 512MB memory and 100GB HDD. Featuring English dictionary program called ‘Saydic’, it also can be used as an electronic dictionary. Price quoted between 800,000(KRW) and 900,000(KRW).

HP presented its ‘e-book reader’ during 2007 HP Mobility Summit in Shanghai, China, which is a concept of next generation e-book featuring intuitive interface. You can flip pages of book content in the reader as if you turn pages of real book and by utilizing HP’s online photo website ‘Snapfish’, you can enjoy photo book function as well. It is still a prototype, so it will take time to launch as a real product to research more, develop dedicated software, and receive feedbacks from customers, a company official mentioned.
