Because if Google can properly read this url, I’m probably going to rank well for the terms I’m targeting.

As you can see from this image above, the page is bad  optimized and “macbook” and “contest” are not two of the main keywords. In my view, this is very useful and good strategy worth your time to learn.

Recently I’ve talked about a Wordpress plugin title “make your blog search seo friendly with a string nicer”, that allows you to redirects the Wordpress searches(?s=search-term) to the pretty-looking URL version:/search/search-term.

Today I was having an argument with my friend Carl about how to make more nice my webpages URL So, I decided to treat about the importance of have a SEO friendly URL through a simple Wordpress feature called “Post Slug”.

I’ve heard some talk lately about “Post Slug”, and I was interested to find that there be quite a few people that have never used before or didn’t know how to use them properly.
“Post Slug” allows you to make post title become part of the URL structure. The object is to let the users find the blog more easily, and find the article useful. So, it’s something I’ve decided to try immediately.

The use are a snap. They say a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, you can see the “Post Slug” on action in the image below.

The reason I bring this up now is to notice the differences between the two strings. My first impression is pretty good. But, if you want direct answers on why did I choose “free wordpress Themes” instead “10 Remarkable (and Free) Wordpress Themes”, well, because when readers looking for “wordpress themes” term, they write for “free wordpress Themes” instead to consider the wordpress title default.

I think that is the just choice because the “Post Slug” changes the intere look of your URL and making it “SEO friendly”. Note: putting not related keywords in the Post Slug won’t bring you any good.
