There are certain tasks you do when you need to optimize your blog post. These tasks may include title optimization, developing a brief description of your post, and a list of your most important keywords. You need focus for such tasks if you want get the high position on major search engines. So today when another Wordpress plugin came onto my radar, I was overly excited.
One of the great benefits of this SEO plugin is that people really can optimize their site directly from their worpress control panel. They can manage the title, description and keywords Meta tag of all blog post they write. Some bloggers and experts have welcomed the new SEO plugin with enthusiasm because by default, Wordpress uses the blog tagline to include the keywords and description tags. This plugin bring what is missing in WP: description, keyword, blog title, and much more.
To download SEO plugin for Wordpress 2.2.1, point your browser to http://wp.uberdose.com. The application is free. Just unzip and upload to your plugins folder. At first glance it seems like a very simple device without many buttons.

In the Wordpress panel, click the options button and go on ‘all in one SEO pack’ page. Through the title and keyword field, you can add or custom titles and keywords META tags. The panel of extra option also allows to esclude duplicate contents like the archives and categories how you can see on the image down.

Here’s a run down of some of the features:
- Home Title: Title of your homepage.
- Home Description: The META description for your homepage. By default the META description is not set.
- Home Keywords: List of your most important keywords for your site
- Titles: This is what you see in your browser’s window title bar.
- Use Categories for META keywords: Check this if you want your categories for a given post used as the META keywords for this post.
- Use Category Description as Title: Check this if you want using the category description.
- Use noindex for Categories: Check this for excluding category pages from being crawled. Useful for avoiding duplicate content.
- Use noindex for Archives: Check this for excluding archive pages from being crawled. Useful for avoiding duplicate content.
- Auto-Generate Meta Descriptions: Check this and your META descriptions will get autogenerated if there’s no excerpt.
- Max Number of Words in Auto-Generated Descriptions: Set this to another value than the internal default of 25 if you want your auto generated META descriptions shorteror longer.
Remember that you’ve need to modify your header.php title to remove the meta keywords and description code. If you don’t make it, you can risk to includes two sets of META keywords and description per page. I’ve installed and gave it a test run. It does work beautifully and I think its a Wordpress SEO plugin that is worth a look if you desire better SERP rankings. Read more. Read more
