Cingular and MySpace team up.

Cingular the largest cell phone provider, make an exclusive deal with MySpaceCarrier to provide a mobile version for one of the most popular social networking sites among teenagers.

For this exclusive deal, MySpace Mobile will begin selling to Cingular customers for $2.99 per month through a Java application. Cingular has an exclusive on the app for several months, but it should debut on other national carriers next year.

The deal also includes a service called MySpace Mobile Music to create ringtones.

Now artists can also have a chance to turn their original music into ringtones on MySpace Cingular's Mobile Music Studio. While MySpace has matured, it has gone beyond social networking will include most features accessable through the application as: posting comments, messaging, and blog entries, uploading photos, viewing friends and searching for new friends. Cingular customers can get the app starting today by text messaging "myspace" to 386 (FUN). The billing rate is $2.99 monthly plus standard data usage rates.

The future agreement of MySpace Mobile will be coming with Helio handsets with no-cost download.
