How To Increase Readership Of Your Blog

How would the world of blogging be without readers? The main reason of building a blog is to get readership.

Whereas there are already a million and one published posts on this particular theme, the easiest tactic is likely the finest approach.

Discussed herein, are tips and guidelines on how to increase the readership on your blog.

Tip #1 – Publish Interesting Subjects

The secret to getting endless readership to your blog is to publishing interesting subjects. You cannot expect first-time readers to come back to your blog site if your posts are not lackluster.

Also, you need to stay abreast with a couple of basic things. Your blog needs to be updated with current events (i.e. local and international).

For example, if you have an interest in technology, you need to be constantly updated on some of the new gadgets in the market. While it is important to use your knowledge to direct traffic to your blog site, it is also essential that you target a particular demographic class. This in turn will assist in increasing the interest in your blog posts.

Tip #2 – Revise And Make A Follow-up On Your Topics

Revising and including more information to your published posts is crucial. If not, the interest on your published posts will wane slowly and eventually die.

Given that your blog site is composed of topics that you have a keen interest on, revising and making a follow-up ought not to be that hard.

You can do this by putting one thought-provoking detail and then following through it. Do not reveal everything in one single blog post. By doing so, you won’t have anything to follow through with.

Tip #3 – Switch To A Different Topic If Need Be For It

Switching to a different subject matter is essential when your current topic has lost its original momentum.

By doing so, you will be ensuring that the interest in your blog post is maintained to a particular level. When choosing a topic to write on, ensure that it is something which you have personal interest in.

Do not blog on something just because others are talking about it. Writing on something that you have a personal interest in, will also ensure that your readers ‘hear’ your voice.

Tip #4 – Generate An Interest In Your Readers

Curiosity hasn’t always killed the cat. It’s simply an analogy. Therefore, ensure that your blog posts are generating a deep interest in your readers. Publish something that makes them want to read more and more of your blog posts.

One of the desires of every blogger is to have their readers leaving comments. To do so, you can have to bring out something in your readers that will make them ask you for more through posting comments.

Increasing readership of your blog is not as hard as some people tend to think. Once you know what is required of you from your audience, you will find this quite easy. In addition to the above, you need to do a little bit of research during your free time on how to increase consistent traffic to your blog.

Help Me Choose Between A Blog And Website, Which Is Better, Blog Or Website?

There comes a time in every person when the thought of starting a business online, make them ask a simple question:

Which is better, blog or website?

Well, before I answer it, you must be aware of the fact that blog isn’t a website. I know that for many of you isn’t news, but I’ve noticed many people still not know the difference.

The difference is quite simple. Blogs is usually organized by date and category and display the most recent post content first. This blog is an example. Instead, in static website the content is organized only by contents and not by date or category.

Blog And Website

In my experience, content organized by category may not be an optimal solution for any kind of topic. For instance, if you are a shoes or clothing lover, then is prefered to create a website than a blog.

If you already have a WordPress blog you can simple adapt your blog and make a static page your home page. By default, software like WordPress make display first newest content, so if you want to turn your blog into a static page you can do it by using static plugin, and so on.

How To Set Up A Blog

To start a blog all you have to do is choose a domain name and a web host. Creating a self hosted blog with blogger is free and very easy to set up.

That isn’t a good strategy if you are trying to create a business online with your blog, however there’s always a risk involved when doing it this way because if Blogger deciding to shut your blog down (for whatever reason), you would lose all your content.

When it comes to choose a domain name and host service my overall recommendation is to just don’t go for any name. There are some service that already have a certain popularity and let makes setup your blog a snap.

For instance, host like Bluehost or Hostgator provides the CPANEL features that let you setup a self hosted WordPress blog for free in a snap. Once you login to your hosting account you have to just select the option “Install WordPress” will be running on your domain.

Instead of spending time to create your webpages from scratch and start learning basic html, as I did, these web hosting togheter WordPress let you set up a strong platform, and create, edit and manage any webpages on your blog.

The best thing is that has a whole world of available free and not plugins you can employ to gain the most of your blog and for your business. Also, there are thousand of writing guides out there that explain you how do to use wordpress too. Let’s say you want to hidding your affiliate link or turn your blog into a membership site, and so on, through a plugin you can do it too.

Blog Or Website? Which Is The Best?

I had experience with both, so as I said above your choices depend by the topic you like. Anyway, if you are still confused about what you should create between a blog or a static website, then the following video will go into detail and explains the major differences.

I still feel to say that whatever your decision is, hosting service today are so cheap that you don’t need to go for a free version. In my recent post I listed the top hosting services that many people use to host their blog. Take a look, they are all convenient and affordable to get the job done.

Remotely Hosted Blog/Site Or Self Hosted Blog/Site?

If you want to host a blog or site, you have two ways to do it. You can choose to remotely host it, for instance if you want to create a blog and your files literally sit on the server of the blogging platform (WordPress.com, Blogger.com, etc.). However, what happens to your blog if blogger decides to shut down?

Also, first impression are important, so if you want make money, having a real blog url like htp://yourblog.com is more professional than one like http://yourblog.blogspot.com or http://yourblog.wordpress.com.

The Newbie Guide To Blogging, 5 Ingredients You Really Need To Know To Start A Business Online With Your Blog

There comes a time in every publisher life when the throught is to start make money online. I often receive this email message: What do you do for a living? And when I answer that I’m a full time blogger, they ask me what do to start make money blogging.

Well, it is clear that this question has need to have more than one answer.

Everyone has to constantly educate themselves to create a business online. If you want to make money online, you have to prepare to change your mentality and move beyond the standard thinking.

My overall recommendation is to don’t go for any niche to monetize. I always mentioned in my blog posts about how important it is to select a good niche or mass market topic for your blog. Often this factor could determine whether a blog is going to make money or not.

1. Stay Away From Your Competitors Marketing

If you choose the wrong niche it may do you lose your time, effort and better yet your money. Make the right choice for your topic is the best way to start better. For instance, If you create a blog about notebook, it will involve all the categories of notebook that are present in the market today.

Of course it is a large market, and as you could think you get a very general audience. While this may seem as a very good market, of having such a big audience visiting your blog, it is an extremely hard to convert all this general traffic into buyers. Visitors may simply visit other technology bloggers like you, and you lose money as well.

Alternatively, if you start a blog about the Acer Aspire TimelineX, then you will be targeting a much narrower audience. That is, all the people will only be interested in things concerning the Acer Aspire TimelineX, it’s features, it’s applications, etc.

2. Have I Need Of A Blog To Start A Business Online?

In my 4 year of experience like blogger I can attest that have a blog is become crucial today to start a business online. It can help you find new customers and convert it into buyers as bring a brand as well. I reccomend you to download my ebook “How to make money online”(link above) that explain you any step by step process to start a blog from scratch.

While Adsense, and direct advertising are one of my better ways to generate a strong revenue stream, I can say that affiliate marketing and especially email marketing also play an important role on my monthly income stream.

3. The Essential Rule For Creating A Strong Brand

4. Building a strong website is only the first step, you have need that your visitors know who you are and what were your successes. In a nutshell, they need trust you.

If you only promoting crap products most probably once bought them, your visitors doesn’t come back to your site more. You can sell 10-20 or more crap products, but you sell only one time.

I tell you how I built my brand: First and foremost Create your ‘Story page’ or about me page, so people who visit your website, visit your Story page and know more about you, who you are, and what is your authority in your niche.

Of course, great content, also really help people and make sure before they leave your website that you are an expert in your niche and you have more chance that they come back.

5. A Cool Tactic To Build Relationships

When I started the3dtechnologies.com, I didn’t knew much about relationship. What I mean is that I have not a connection with authority blogger out there.

One thing I always reccomend if you want to gain authority is to contact some of gurus that have had successful in your same niche and try to interview them. Sharing this kind of content is by far the strongest and best content, because doesn’t requires a lot of effort, and you get lot’s of traffic as well. It will help you speed your chances of becoming a top blogger.

A link wheel is the process of creating several new blogs on a particular topic. Look the image below for a complete and detailed explanation.

Here’s the step by step process to do that:
