Pretty often I receive question regarding how to solve certain problem which concern marketing or how to start a niche site from scratch, and always trying to answer as many person as possible. Of course, it depends on the time I have in such moment or the minuts did it take me to reply.
One thing many people don’t know or maybe underestimate is that give a reply to potential customers through means like contact form or chat will help grow their business. It is come from my real experience in these years. It doesn’t really matter what the subject matter is, give your honest opinion about a subject and how to solve a problem let you grow trust to your readers and often conversion too.
If you have substantial knowledge that people want to learn from you and you have the ability to advice some product you’ve tested, then there are more chance to turn your potential client into buyers.

If you don’t take the time to really understand customer expectation, then you can’t move in the right direction. In these moments your customers are looking more and more like deer in the headlights.
Especially, when you chat you have to understand very quickly what expectation your customers are. If you have a niche site be specific about what you have to offer and surely you get always the same question. For instance, my site is mainly about make money online. So most of the question I receive via contact form or chat are about ‘how to become an affiliate marketer’, or ‘how to make money from program like Adsense’. So, I can manage my customer expectation because I already know what they want first to reply them.
The best way you can grow your customers trust is via chat because it is in real time. Isn’t the first time I advice something via chat, and believe me, it works fine.
Of course now the question is: Where to chat? What is better solution for us blogger? Well, the answer is very simple. You surely know on useing chat in the traditional sense, Facebook, Gmail and so on. Sure, all good, but the better ways to have the max benefit from your chat is that to put it inside your blog.
There are a lot of benefit to put a contact form and chat inside your blog:
- Increase interaction between your site and customers.
- You are able to get more visitors back to your site if you give away useful suggestions.
- You reply directly from your site and you can show your customer what product you’re using in such moment without tell them to type your site url into their browser.
How I Did To Create An Effective Contact Form For Better Conversion?
Currently on my blog I’m using a free WordPress plugin called ContactUs Plus, take a look at my contact page.
What I love about this plugin is that unlike simple contact forms that send an email, this plugin can integrate a live chat for providing assistance to your customers in real time. My new contact form is very simple and convert well because it isn’t too long and too much time consuming and isn’t asking too much of personal information.

It also allows me to return to the contact form and view all my previous interactions with my organization, while the analytics stat let me see how quickly I’m responding to customers and how my customers rate satisfaction. In the image below is the message I receive on my dashboard once my customer sent me an Answer.

Also, to be sure I remember to reply I also receive a quick note on my email box that remember me I have a new message from a customer:
Dear Nicola
You have a new message from a customer.
John completed a form.Message: Hi Nicola how I do to start a blog for free and make money online ? I hope in a quick reply. Thanks John

Despite this platform allows me to customize the the look of the contact form I prefered leave the default contact form. Just because I like simple things.
Now I’m able to be sure that the queries of customers will always be taken care of, and that your churn rates will be kept as negligible as possible and everything works on smart mobile devices.
As I said before the standard contact forms can be installed for free, and the response reminder service is likewise available without pay a cent. Instead the chat is free for one user only – if you want more people are going to be involved, then you have to pay a little monthly fee.
What Is The Best Place To Add A Contact Form To Your Blog?
Usually, many blogger do always the same job. They create a new page called “contact” like mine. Many of new the plugin I saw let you to add a floating contact button. In my view it is an additional way to make visible your contact form especially in the home page where often is full of banner ads, section, and content.

If you have the ability to add a floating contact button to your page, it is a good move for you. Unfortunatly, I couldn’t use it because the button is covered by my header toolbar. The reason I would prefer a floating ‘contact us button’ are three(look the image above):
- It is very simple to access to your contact form.
- It is not intrusive and super effective.
- It is always visible to the eye of your visitors.
- Your visitor interact directly from any of your page(home or single) so you have not to drive them to a new page.
Final Consideration
In these year I learned that responding to my visitors increase much more conversion rate, and reduces your churn rate, thereby reducing the cost associated with losing customers. So, if you have not already done, I reccomend to start now add a contact form and reply to your visitors as possible in order to prevent loss of customers due to lack of response.
