I’m using Twitter more regularly, until now my number of followers has been growing faster on Twitter and I received 2560 followers as you can see on my Twitter counter at the left sidebar. Thus, today I thought to share a few tips to help anyone looking on how to grow the numbers of Twitter Followers. In particular, today I’m going to give a 4 easy tips on how I’ve increased my own Twitter follower numbers up over 1000 in the last few months:

1. Attract Other Profiles – If you have something outside of Twitter, as a blog or Facebook page you can use it to leverage other online profiles. You can use a plugin to share web content via Twitter. This WordPress plugin allows anyone to create a blog post from each of your tweets. If you use this plug-in make sure to add other valuable content in between. Remember, whether you Tweet nothing you more chance of loosing followers.

However, Twitter can actually become quite confusing if you launch tweet too regularly, thus, here what I usually do: first, I use Tweetdeck to keep me updated when someone tweet. Second, do I stop my tweets when someone talking so much that my followers don’t have room to respond. So I try to talk to one topic at a time and create pauses between them to let others interact.

2. Interact with other Twitter users – The first rule to get conversational on Twitter is asking questions. It’s important to get people to answer a question you’ve Tweeted, but it’s also important to participate in other people’s Tweets.

Reply to their tweet as much as possible. Everytime you reply to someone, then your Twitter ID appears in the feeds of others which give you more visibility to potentially thousands upon thousands of other Twitter users. No matter just one person signs up from each of 20 people’s replies to you, however get 20 new followers.

3. Give Quality - As for a Blog you need to work on trust and content quality, if you want growing your Twitter followers you need to give value on your conversations. Instead to write personal tweets, If your tweet help people in their daily life, they are more likely to read more of what you have to say.

4. Be yourself – Last but not least important of my tips is that to Tweet naturally. Don’t think too much about the numbers, don’t think about to have 1000 followers in one week, but be yourself with your twitter followers and provide quality information when you can.

When there are big community like Twitter, Myspace and facebook with an high amount of users, there are a few people are bound to figure out how to start making money from them. These community web sites attract millions of people, but still weren’t generating any money. Thus, here a case study on how to do effective sales with the help of Twitter.

I was reading an interesting post on John Chow’s blog, where he talks about one of his latest affiliate promotions.

After launch is first “tweet” about the latest article titled “Ultimate footer Ad“, John has made $306 by selling this script within the first 24 hours.

This doesn’t means Twitter makes more money than a blog post. However, is not bad, if you consider that has generated all of those sales just by using Twitter. Obviously, the number of folowers are incredibly important in this game. In fact, John has over 13,000 followers.

Also, In his article John compares his email marketing vs. twitter marketing. Email marketing still brings a lot of advantage, and it’s better method to generated sales, but a reason why using Twitter is worth is that is really quick to send tweet to thousand of people in a few seconds.

It’s easy for someone to click “follow”, but user can also block and unfollow. This happens especially if you trying to do spam or sell to your users, then your followers will slowly become unfollowers.

Also, I would like to know how much a follower on twitter are real. Usually, people just follow in order to get a follow back.

Then, what’s one of the easiest ways to generate revenue? One of the simplest ways to make money with Twitter is to leverage on quality tweets that about what you are currently working on.

I think a great method is to break people into groups based upon how you’d know them and then to use a service like TweetDeck. In my view, Twitter has some possibilities sure for generating revenue but it’s young as service, yet. The, I reccomend you to both work on developing your Twitter community and newsletter subscriptions.
